Tom Ford has been a major player in the fragrance industry for seven years with his high end fragrance repertoire. With such successful formulas like Black Orchid, Private Blends and White Patchouli, among other favorites, his shelf is running out of space with all the FiFi Awards he’s been banning over the years. The growth of the Tom Ford brand is estimated to reach more than $500 million within five years. Now that’s a lot of Tom Ford Petra Bags.
Come October, Mr. Ford will add another fragrance to his list with his second scent for men called Tom Ford Noir. The spicy scent, which comes in a black rectangular flacon, features top notes of bergamot, verbena, caraway, pink pepper and violet; middle notes of black pepper, nutmeg, tuscan iris, geranium, bulgarian rose and clary sage; a drydown of opoponax, amber, indonesian patchouli leaf, vetiver, civet and vanilla. Your man will smell so delicious you might not let him out of the house. Noir will be Mr. Ford’s first men’s fragrance since 2009.
Tom Ford Noir will come in 1.7-oz and 3.4-oz. eux de parfum sizes and will retail for $90 and $125, respectively. The dapper Mr. Ford will serve as the face of the new scent, with ads appearing in Fall magazine issues.
Before Tom Ford Noir launches in October, the brand will introduce a quartet of scents for the Private Blend called Jardin Noir (black garden). Central notes for each fragrance in the collection will be Narcissus, Hyacinth, Rose and Lily flowers, all evening blooming flowers. The Tom Ford Jardin Noir collection will include Cafe Rose, Jonquille De Nuit, Lys Fume and Ombre de Hyacinth.
