Glamazon Diaries is a style and travel site founded in 2007 to inspire the modern woman, with a feminine and adventurous point of view.
As a tastemaker and body positive advocate, Makeda shows her readers of all shapes and sizes how to dress for their shape without breaking the bank. She combines luxury and high street brands into every looks to make style accessible to all.
INTERCULTURAL TASTEMAKER
BORN IN GHANA, RAISED IN VIRGINIA
I was born in Accra, Ghana and lived there until middle school when I matriculated to the United States. I grew up in Northern Virginia with my parents and three brothers. After high school, I went to schools in North Carolina and Virginia. Since college, I've lived in Washington, DC where I started Glamazon Diaries in 2007 and New York City. I go back to Ghana often to stay connected with my roots.

Our kitchen is always bursting with aromatics from Ghana, Morocco, Mexico, Italy and France, the the five culinary cultures we love most. I am more of the adventurous cook while Thomas razzle dazzles with his cocktail making prowess. We love to entertain friends for dinner parties inside the apartment and barbecues and brunches in our backyard.
We are both huge foodies and will eat or try almost anything, within reason of course.
