Carine Roitfeld Reveals First Image from Anticipated Magazine

July 24, 2012

Former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld knows how to stay relevant and newsworthy, even though she is no longer at the helm of  the magazine.  Despite rumors that many of the photographers and stylists she worked with during her tenure at Conde Nast have pledged allegiance to the publishing giant by refusing to work with her, Ms. Roitfeld is moving ahead with plans to launch CR Fashion Book.  An image from the first issue, which hits newstands and digitally on September 13th is out and in Roitfeld fashion, is impressive.

The image, shot by Sebastian Faena and styled by Roitfeld herself, features model Juliet Ingleby, draped in a billowy lavender veil walking through a cemetery with an entourage of three dressed in all black.  Is this an allusion to Ms. Roitfeld’s return to forefront of fashion this fall? We think so.  Model of the moment, Kate Upton is slated to cover the first issue. A .giff version of the image above appears on the CRFashionBook.com website.
