Roger Vivier Fall 2012 Accessories

March 8, 2012

The Roger Vivier Pilgrim Ballet Flats are on my list of must haves in my shoe closet and I will be saving up for a while to slip my feet into a pair.  For fall 2012, creative director Bruno Frisoni dug through the archives of the French accessories house to create some modern favorites for shoes and handbags we’ll surely be seeing on the red carpet and many of our favorite luxury boutiques.

There are new additions to the Prismick bag family, including one with leather used to create a geometric découpé effect.  The bags also come in suede versions in colors like prune, mustard and faun or winter-sky blues and grays. There is a gorgeous multi colored boot named after Scotch tape called ‘The Scotch Boot.’  My favorite in the collection is the Papillon round-toed stiletto, which comes has a reworked flat bow from the Roger Vivier archives on top.  It comes in many colors with my favorite being the midnight-blue satin (above).  The house will also introduce a new print called A Thousand Buckles, with lots of closures on black satin create the effect of an animal print.
