The Duchess of Cambridge Recycles DVF Maja Dress in Scotland

July 30, 2011

The Royals boarded the Brittania yacht in Scotland yesterday for pre-wedding cocktails to fete the upcoming nuptials of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips to English Rugby captain Mike Tindall.  Alongside the soon-to-marry couple were friends and family including the dashing Prince Harry, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince William and Catherine – known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn while in Scotland, and Carole Middleton, Catherine’s mother, just to name a few.

The Countess recycled the emerald green Diane Von Furstenberg ‘Maja’ Dress, an elbow sleeved, knee length frock that cinches at the waist with a matching silk belt for the occassion. Completing her look was the sold out Anya Hindmarch Bespoke Maud clutch, black satin pumps, her gold link bracelet with a royal monogram and her Temple of Heaven 9ct yellow gold girandole earrings, all of which were also recycled.  Some fans might have been disappointed to see Catherine done something old but we appreciate her laying low and giving Zara her day in the sun.
