Oh So Chico’s! Accessories to Spruce Up Your Spring Wardrobe

April 25, 2011

A white button down shirt serves as a blank canvas for accessories and is one of the most versatile pieces in a woman’s closet.  This must have staple is also a favorite of ours this Summer because it can be dressed up or down for a day at the beach or an evening cocktail party.  Womenswear retailer Chico’s invited us to personalize a white button down shirt using the accessories from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection.  We played with gorgeous accessories, including elegant beaded statement necklaces, Moroccan inspired jewelry and nautical accessories perfect for Spring.  Chico’s might be geared towards older women but many of the separates in their current collection, as well as their jewelry, are on trend and perfect for women of any age.

Our look for Summer from Chico’s is sophisticated and elegant.  It also plays on the season’s nautical theme.  A navy skirt and the Chico’s buttery soft Secret Silk Utility Shirt in antique ivory or delicacy is the perfect foundation to layer on multi-layered turquoise necklace and starfish stud earrings.  For more glamour, a stack of bracelets and metallic sandals are all that is needed for a daytime look.  Switch into silver Jimmy Choos or silver sandal heels for a night out on the town.
