Blake Lively Debuts Red Tresses at Time Magazine’s 100 Gala

April 28, 2011

Chanel brand ambassador and Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively has lost it.  Her golden locks that is.  The leggy actress debuted red wavy tresses at the Time Magazine 100 Gala last on Tuesday evening in New York City.  Miss Lively stood out in a teal Zuhair Murad gown with draping that contoured her to-die-for-body and Christian Louboutin heels.  The red locks are for a new movie called Hick, which she’s currently filming in North Carolina.

“I thought my character needed red hair. It helps when you’re playing a role, when I don’t feel like myself. And I don’t really like myself with red hair,” she told People magazine.

Miss Lively might not like herself with red hair but we certainly do.  The warm and rich color gives her hair the appearance of health and thickness, and makes her look more sophisticated and grown-up. We do love her as a blonde but the new hair color takes her from California girl to a sexy siren that can pull of an elegant European look.
