Designer Adam Lippes has become one of my favorite contemporary designers. His celebration of what women want beamed through his Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The ADAM collection was anything but boring. Tailored high waisted pants paired with equally tailored blazers and flouncy tops; breezy dresses with lots of movement in creams and ivory.
The dresses Adam sent down the runway will become a girl’s best friend for Spring soirees and garden parties. There was movement, splashes of color, romantic and sheer dresses. Adam’s collection was cohesive and for the downtown girl with a swing in her step. A chili pepper red leather dress is tamed down but still kept alluring with a boxy neckline and thick straps. With hair pulled back, the ADAM girl is as innocent as Eve but daring to show some skin after the Fall.
