Mercedes Benz Fashion Week | Jill Stuart S/S ’11

September 22, 2010

One quick take at Jill Stuart’s Spring 2011 collection and you’ll know that femininity is back is style.  Jill mastered the art of the cut for spring with flattering silhouettes that oozed romance and delicate flare; keeping the color palette simple and clean, with cream and ivory, black, navy, gray and camel. The girly girl is back at Jill Stuart for Spring.  Keeping in tandem with the lowered hemlines, Stuart’s ladylike dresses grazed below the knee as ruffled and long sleeved dresses swung to the rhythm of the beat.

There was flounce and lots of it, beautiful prints bordering the hemlines of dresses, darling pleats and embroidery. It wasn’t all romance at Jill Stuart, we saw some structure in tapered suits and pant-blouse combinations with a bit of sheen.  The collection was a home run and a must have for the socials, celebs and Gossip Girls. Speaking of Gossip Girls, spotted in the front row were the reality star elite like the Kardashians (Kim and Kourtney), Kristin Cavallari, the Spin Crowd’s Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck as well as Tinsley Mortimer and Nigel Barker. Jessica Szhor was also spotted front row, looking chic in Jill Stuart of course.
