The previews of the upcoming flick The Women looks very promising. After all the movie is jam-packed with an A-list cast with a stellar record for turning out blockbusters. Meg Ryan leads the all-star cast in this dramedy about a “group of gossipy, high-society women who spend their days at the beauty salon and haunting fashion shows.”
Each character in the movie is perfectly styled high fashion duds. Their real life alter-egos might not be as catty or gossipy but they sure do have the same refined taste. For the premiere of The Women, Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Mendes and Debra Messing wore showstopping pieces that shone on the red carpet. Meg Ryan and Jada opted for long gowns but Jada’s gown was the scene stealer. The black strapless evening gown with metalic crystal chain-like beadwork fit Jada’s punk rock look and flattered her athletic and well-toned arms and shoulders. Eva Mendes’ knee-length black and white floral frock was very classic. My absolute favorite of the bunch was Debra Messing, whose babydoll style strapless dress and loosely coifed updo was sophisticated and young. Overall, all the ladies
