Over the knee boots resurfaced as a modern trend back in 2009 and since then has steamrolled its way into almost every woman’s closet, including this one. They’re a sexy alternative to wearing tights when the weather cools down. For the most part brands have shied away from creating OTK boots with an opening wide enough for ladies with bigger thighs, yours truly included.
With the plus size fashion movement picking up steam, brands are now offering wider widths, making these boots accessible to a lot more women. I bought a pair last fall and can’t stop wearing them, especially when I wear shorter skirts in the winter and spring months. OTK boots might be a bit more expensive than their vertically challenged counterparts but you’ll get so much wear out of them from Fall to late spring. I’ve made a list of nine over the knee boots I’m coveting for spring and they’re all stunning.
