Style Tips for the Lug Sole Boots for Fall

Lug Sole boots for fall

I’ve been looking for affordable lug sole boots for fall and I finally found my perfect pair. These rugged boots are perfect for fall and winter, especially for those that live in cold weather climates. Prada made the lug soled boot hot again and they’ve caught on among the fashion set for a few seasons. I scoured the internet for mid-priced and affordable options for those not willing to splurge on $1100 Bottega Veneta Chunky Sole boots or Prada’s iconic Monolith Combat Boots.

The lug sole boots or chunky sole boots are practical yet on trend. I got the Steve Madden Wayde Boots, which come in three color ways (hunter green, brown and a black). I wanted to Gia Borghini Tubular boots but the calf circumference is a tad too small and I didn’t feel like struggling to put on and take off my boots each and every time. The Steve Madden boots are snug around my calves but they feel good thanks to the stretch fabric on the outer side of the boots. They leather will stretch a bit the more I wear them so I plan on keeping them.

Styling Options

  • Tuck your jeans into a taller ankle lug sole boot and pair it with a bodysuit and a plaid shacket. Add a wider belt over the shacket for a more pulled together look. Don’t forget jewelry.
  • Pair the high below the knee lug sole boots a midi or mini skirt and a dressier sweatshirt like this Nili Lotan Puff Sleeved Maggie Sweatshirt and add a chunky gold or silver necklace and a soft bag like the Coach Pillow tabby.
  • I’ll be pairing my boots with my sweater dresses and daintier silk and chiffon midi dresses this fall to keep my legs warm.
