Dove DermaSeries Review

Eczema is a huge issue in my family, especially my little brothers, who have suffered from this skin disorder for years.  As a sufferer of dry skin – not as bad as theirs – I go through lotion like a marathoner goes through water.  For the past few years, I have been super careful what I use on my skin, opting for higher priced products that do the trick.

Dove partnered with dermatologists to create a specialized line of skin care products formulated specifically for people with eczema and sensitive skin.  In the DermaSeries collection is a body cleanser, a body bar, a face cleanser, a cream for rough patches and two body creams.  Of all the things I could say to praise this line, what matters most is that it works.

The soap is very gently and non-drying.  It lathers nicely and cleanses the skin without being too harsh.  The body cream is going to be a favorite this winter because it’s thick and creamy and keeps my skin nourished and hydrated all day.  My little brother ended up snagging all of the product samples I got from Dove – he’s a big fan of the dry patch relief balm, which contains a blend of natural oils to repair and protect dry skin, smoothing and repairing event the thickest of dry spots.

The DermaSeries collection is has no sulfates, and has PPAR Activation Complex that rebuilds the skin’s hydration barrier to provide long-term benefits. The Dove DermaSeries collection is available at drugstores nationwide and retail between $7.99 – $19.99.
