Rita Ora, Singer-Songwriter and Actress, dazzled on the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala with a sleek hairstyle created by Celebrity Hairstylist Chris Appleton for Garnier. Inspired by Ora’s stunning and detailed Donna Karan Atelier dress, Appleton opted for a clean and classic hair look that complemented the dress perfectly. “I kept Ora’s hair smooth and chic, but applied a strip of gold leaf through the side part to add a little edge to the look,” said Appleton.
Hair Breakdown:
Appleton prepped the hair look by applying Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil to Ora’s damp hair and then blow dried it back using a vent brush.
Next, Appleton created a deep side part to Ora’s hair and straightened the ends for a clean and smooth look. He then applied a small amount of Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finish Spray to her roots and then brushed her hair backwards, keeping the top section loose.
For the perfect sleek finish, Appleton then re-applied another small amount of Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil through Ora’s hair. He then set the entire look with Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity Spray. The final touch was a gold leaf strip applied to her side part for an extra dose of “Wow!”
