The high-end men’s label Peter Millar, will take over the space at 36 East 57th Street in New York City (currently occupied by Montblanc) with a pop-up store. The 2,000-square-foot store will open in October and remain in place for three months until luxury Swiss watch brand Piaget takes the location permanently, said Scott Mahoney, CEO of Peter Millar.
Mahoney said the brand is also doubling the size of its Palm Beach store in Florida to around 1,000 square feet and that project should be completed in November. Peter Millar also operates a boutique in Southampton, N.Y. “We’re looking for a location for a New York store anyway, so this will be a good test for us,” Mahoney noted.
