The White House has just unveiled First Lady Michelle Obama’s official portrait for President Obama’s second term and unlike PTrique, we love the bangs. Mrs. Obama revealed to Rachel Ray that getting bangs was due to midlife crisis. And since she isn’t allowed to do anything crazy like bunjee jump or get a flashy sports car, so she decided on a good chop. Karl Lagerfeld be damned! We’re loving this hair cut Mrs. O.
The portrait, in which the First Lady dons a custom Reed Krakoff gown, was shot by Chuck Kennedy in the Green Room of the White House. The elbow length sleeved dress is a departure from her first official portrait, in which she shows off those chiseled arms in a sleeveless Michael Kors dress. She does rock a mean pearl necklace in both, though a single strand this time around.
