BCBG Spring 2013

September 14, 2012

With romantic bondage reverberating throughout its spring 2013 show, BCBG proves once again that E.L. James’ influence has reached the runway.  Though not a literal translation of  Fifty Shades of Grey, Lubov and Maz Azria opted for several shades of grey instead of the vibrant colors they sent down the runway last season.  The lengths of dresses were below the knee, with sheer lace showing snippets of flesh.  Leather harnesses adorned silk dresses, seamlessly fusing soft and hard textures to create something elegant and romantic.  The muted colors for this collection included talc, coral, black, white, and cream.  The BCBG girl is going to love this collection, which we are sure the Duchess of Cambridge might embrace, should she choose another American designer.
