Nicole Ritchie to Design a Capsule Collection for Macy’s Impulse

This just in! The Fashion Star judge and House of Harlow designer Nicole Ritchie has been tapped by Macy’s to design a capsule collection for called Nicole Ritchie for Macy’s Impulse. Her collection will offer 24 to 30 styles in bold colors that align with her design aesthetic.  It will be sold in 100 Macy’s stores as well as online starting mid-September.

Nicole will be the seventh designer to create a collection for Macy’s Impulse.  She joins the likes or Karl Lagerfeld, Alberta Ferretti, Kinder Aggugini, Giambattista Valli, Doo-Ri Chung and Matthew Williamson.

“Nicole is pretty savvy when it comes to the fashion business and understanding consumers. She’s a real fashion influencer,” said Martine Reardon, Macy’s Inc.’s chief marketing officer.

“She’s got a very definitive look, very free style and bohemian chic, and our collection will definitely pay homage to her style. But we are being very careful to provide what the Macy’s customer wants. She really likes clothes with versatility. She likes to dress it up and dress it down,” he added.

He’s also speculating that Nicole’s collection for Macy’s Impulse will sell out in less than two weeks.  Get your pocket books ready ladies!
