The Three Glamazons of the 84th Academy Awards

February 27, 2012

We’ve decided to give out out our own award for the best dressed ladies at the 84th Annual Academy Awards in the first annual Glamazon of the Red Carpet Awards.  Rounding out the top three are actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, in Tom Ford, My Week With Marilyn’s Michelle Williams in a coral peplum dress from Louis Vuitton (the dress took 300 hours to make), and The Help actress Jessica Chastain in a very regal black and gold embellished, strapless gown by Alexander McQueen.

We love a good cape, evidenced by our obsession with Phantom of the Opera, so Gwyneth gets the gold medal for her stunning Tom Ford gown.  In true Glamazon style, she keeps her look extremely chic with a cuff and a large ring.  This is an updated take on what first lady Jackie Kennedy would have worn in the White House in 2012.

Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams can do no wrong in our eyes with this gorgeous coral dress by Louis Vuitton.  The peplum silhouette is feminine and with cascading strips of fabric all over.  The brooch on the hip is a really nice touch.  Her creamy skin is complimented by the coral color.  She gets the silver in our Glamazon of the Red Carpet Awards.

Academy Award nominated actress Jessica Chastain gets the silver in our awards for this stunning gown by Alexander McQueen.  This was an unexpected look from The Help actress, a big risk that paid off immensely.  The entire look is well styled with her long, red tresses in a wavy style, cascading down her back.
