Mercedes Benz Fashion Week | Lorick S/S ’11

September 20, 2010

Through the inspiration of Agnes Martin, LORICK has discovered the strength and the beauty of the human hand in the collection entitled Linear Dawn. With a fresh awakened eye, while acknowledging and accepting the grids and lines of the city and daily life, LORICK explores and experiences the space above and below the confinement through innovation, imagination, and spirituality. The LORICK lady recreates her external environment to complement her internal space, instead of letting the outside world dictate her inner dialogue. The collection helps her in this journey by offering a tranquil palette that allow creativity, individuality and freedom.

While all pieces in the collection can stand on their own, each piece can be wrapped, draped, layered and pulled with one another, giving each LORICK lady the ability to express herself as she chooses and the opportunity to explore and create her own identity. Milliner Gigi Burris joins LORICK creating an exclusive collection of raw layered head pieces that uniquely encompasses the LORICK lady. Organza, chiffon, and georgette present the perfect path for these stratums, while the color palette compliments the fluidity and softness of the layers with light grays grounding dreamlike blues and opulent pinks.
