Last week jewelry buffs from across the city came to Napoleon Bistro in Dupont Circle to see the new Roarke NYC accessory line from designers Laetitia Standfield and Mignonne Gavigan. This duo teamed up last summer when they realized that their beaded chiffon designs were truly unique and special. In light of this discovery they began designing necklaces, bracelets, and even headbands that have beautiful beading detail. The price range of the jewelry varies from $60-$395, so even on a tight budget you’ll be able to find something to wear!
This jewelry is incredibly different from what we have been seeing. At the event, tables were covered with the different designs, so many in fact that everyone had an opportunity to try something on- the impossible for me was trying not to fall in love with a $300 necklace (so much for that idea). Since putting their designs on the market they have gained a lot of media attention from Daily Candy, Vogue, Refinery29, Elle Accessories File and more! These intricate pieces are truly classic, original, and can completely define an outfit.
