Lanvin for Acne Studios second denim collection for Summer 2010

March 20, 2010

Lanvin breathed new life into denim long before it became a hot commodity this spring.  Under the direction of Alber Elbaz, the French fashion house partnered with Acne Studios in 2008 for a denim collection that has received critical acclaim. The feminine pieces including an trench coats, dresses, tops and trousers in various washes was unlike any other denim on the market.  The duo reproduced ten of the pieces in white denim for their resort collection.

Since first collection was feted quite well, it made perfect sense to renew the partnership. The collaboration continues this spring with an ultra feminine collection true to the Lanvin name. The Lanvin for Acne Studios denim collection is a must have. True to the Lanvin construction and draping, the denim frocks are going to be classics that will be celebrated 20 years from now. The pieces are a bit expensive but they are worth every penny. I can see corporate execs wearing some of these pieces in the board room or on retreats.  I can’t wait to get my hands on the one shoulder denim dress and the sheath dress with the side ruching.  I wish I had the funds to buy everything in the collection. I bought the LF22270 dress last year, which I wear almost every other day in the summer.
