Gift of Time | Timex Watches for everyday glamour

Instead of doing a holiday gift giving guide this year, I’ve opted to single out some of my favorite products that are timeless, chic and useful for my friends and family. As much as we’d all like to give or receive a Cartier Tank or a Rolex this season, we have to all be realistic. Living within my means is an exercise I am slowly learning how to do so splurging on fabulous designer stuff for even myself is something I have to do conservatively. I’ve spend a good amount of money on two expensive watches in the last three years that never see the light of day, except for truly special occasions because I’m terrified of losing them.

It’s very important to have a reliable watch for everyday use. For some, that means a Rolex or a Patek Philippe. For others, that means spending less than $100 on a lower priced brand. You don’t have to sacrifice quality for price when it comes to chic timepieces that will last. I remember receiving a Timex watch way back in middle school from my mom and thought it was the coolest thing ever. With the advent of cellular phones, not that many people wear watches anymore. I do wear my Guess leather watch frequently but am looking for something a bit more glamorous for everyday wear. I love the special pieces from Timex, especially their SL Series with its leather strap and Swarovski crystals for some sparkle. Most of the Timex watches are less than $200 with many in less than $50.
