I just can’t get enough of Forever 21’s Twelve by Twelve Fall 2009 collection, which came out last Friday. The lookbook, which was shot at a couture shop in downtown Los Angeles channels vintage glamour with a rock and roll feel. I am loving what Forever 21 is doing this fall with the vintage pearls, lace and feathers. Who doesn’t want to feel a bit more ladylike in a tea length gloves, ruffles, pearls, polka dots and lace?
The Twelve by Twelve fall collection is just what the doctor ordered for fashionistas on a tight budget. Inspired by many of our favorite fall looks including ones from Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel, the high street brand has hit this collection out of the ball park. The vintage deco screen print tshirt, $24 is on top of a ruffled mini skirt. Ruffled tops with pearl detailing and Jackie O inspired contrast piping cardigans add a touch of romance to fall’s chillier temperatures.
The looks remind of of Emma Watson’s Teen Vogue editorial for their August issue. Pure English aristocratic elegance with a naughty girl edge. If the make up and hair are indications of fall trends, I suggest you run to your nearest beauty store and stock up on dark liners, dark eyeshadows and lip stains and tons of hairspray.
