It’s been a busy holiday season and we’ve been there to cover most of the December bender. The scene was ablaze with parties galore as Washingtonians, ready to celebrate 2008 and usher in 2009 upped the swank factor with exclusive parties. From Capitol Hill to Georgetown and everywhere in between, party goers decked in frocks, tuxes and even jeans and leather jackets hit the party circuit one last time in 2008. We were busy running around town to capture the magic of the night at various parties.
First on the list was the Drop the Ball 09 party at Dupont hotspot Darlington House. The swank factor of this party was above the Richter scale; drinks flowed, the DJ did not skip a beat and the shot bar was opened for business until 5:30am. The hosts were considerate enough to give away a “New Year’s Day Relief” gift bag filled with products from Celedon Spa, Grooming Lounge, Peroni and free brunch at the Darlington house.
