Sexy Science by Dita Von Teese for Wonderbra

September 19, 2008

“For me, I’ve always thought that sexy was about glamour and mystery, and the image of the femme fatale or the pin-up girl.” Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese revived the art of Burlesque when she emerged on the Hollywood scene with her newly made over look of dark coiffed hair, pale ivory skin and classic vintage style reminiscent of the ’40 and ’50s era. The 35-year old has received acclaim for the burlesque art form that now seems to be popular around the country. Dita, who perhaps became more famous because of her engagement to rocker Marilyn Manson, is now the new face of Wonderbra. Instead of simply putting her name and face behind the new Wonderbra line Sexy Science by Dita,the starlet went a step further and designed the lingerie herself.

The Sexy Science by Dita is a retro-inspired lingerie line designed for the woman who dares to bare it and feel sexy. The provocative line of lace, velvet, tulle and satin lingerie separates exudes Dita’s sensuality and timeless glamour.

“I am very proud of the lingerie that I’ve created for Wonderbra, because it has
all the beautiful detail of sexy, sensual and glamorous lingerie, but the fit is
perfect to wear under your everyday clothes. I love it when you can go about
your daily business with the knowledge that you have a little secret of your own
on underneath. Lingerie shouldn’t be something you just put on for your lover;
you should do it for you. It’s not about seducing men, it’s about embracing
womanhood,” says Dita.

The lingerie line boasts names such as the Multi-Teese, a bra and panty set with a quick release magnetic closure for a more daring striptease. This collection is a take on the everyday exotic with black tulle and sequined embellishments on the bra and panties as well as velvet trimming for even more vamp.

The convertible bra can be worn in multiple ways for different occasions and dresses; The Spot-Teese collection is a casino chip motif overlaid with sensuous and sheer black tulle and floral deco print; The Satin-Teese collection is set in silky satin with ’50s style wire motifs that is perfect for those slinky frocks

The Sexy Science by Dita for Wonderbra is set to debut in Europe on September 24, 2008 and will also be available for purchase online. There is no word on the US launch of the lingerie line.
