Behnaz Sarafpour’s vision of the perfect 20something socialite came to life on the runway today during her Spring 2009 show. The Gossip Girl inspired collection included party frocks, silk lounge pants with drawstring waists and structured shouldered dresses aimed at the younger set. Sarafpour’s collection has serious staying power with classic pieces like a floral v-neck knee length dress and a black cocktail dress perfect for evening cocktail events. The cohesive collection has some of my favorite models including Chanel Iman and Elena Melnik looking their age and a lot more sophisticated. If the makeup is indicative of what is in for spring, then ladies, invest in metallic silver and dark creme shadows for your evening makeup looks.
