Celebrate Your Independence In Style

July 1, 2008

God Bless America! As we head into the weekend of festivities, we can’t forget why Uncle Sam has given us July 4th off. Sure it’s a day to hang out with family and friends over apple pie and barbeque or having a boozefest on the water. It is also a day to remember that this country would not be what it is today without the sacrifices people made to get this country free of British rule. Had we not separated from the British, we would be ruled by a queen today. Hmm…that might not be so bad eh?

Anyhow, it is your patriotic duty to look good on July Fourth. You must support the red, white and blue and what it stands for by looking your absolute best. I put together a really simple All-American inspired outfit to give you inspiration for your own Independence Day festivities. Shabby Apple has a line of clothes so sophisticated and chic you would think they cost a fortune. No my friend, that is not the American way.

Shabby Apple Marseilles Faux Wrap Dress, $86, AK Anne Klein Bevin Heels, $56, Ann Hand Crystal American Flag Pin-Large , $150, Rebecca Minkoff Woven Patent Morning After Clutch, $325.00

The Shabby Apple Marseilles Faux Wrap Dress(I know! I know! FRENCH?) dress in stripped blue is perfect for barbequing, dancing and watching fireworks. Best of all, the dress is just $86. What a steal. You can have blue and white without the red. I chose red AK Anne Klein Bevin Heels for comfort and style. You are going to be walking around all day so you need a show that is both practical and stylish. To complete the look, Ann Hand Crystal American Flag Pin-Large is a must for your Independence Day outfit. What better way to proclaim “I love America” than with a beautiful pin mad by Ann Hand, a Washingtonian. Grab a hold of Rebecca Minkoff Woven Patent Morning After Clutch and say hello to a day of fun-filled memories.
