Join the Capital Entertainment Group for their 4th Annual Party on the Potomac on July 4, 2008 at Cantina Marina (600 Water Street, SW) from 4:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. This is one of the hottest parties on the 4th of July. What better way to celebrate the nation’s birthday than with a some of the hottest guys and gals in DC.
Dress to impress and come ready to dance the night away with the musical stylings of Jimi Smooth & Slim Pickins. The boys of CEG have this party down on lock and promise a good time for party goers. Tickets: $75 for the Gals, $85 for the Gents, $100 VIP. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Trey Lefler Memorial Scholarship Fund.
I would NOT recommend this party to anyone. I went last year on the recommendation of many friends, and we were all sorely disappointed.
They ran out of booze only a few hours in, the food was atrocious and sparse, they didnt have nearly enough bartenders, and it was clear they had no ID system at all, as several of our office's underage interns were present. The members of the group are of the opinion that they are the only party going apparently, an arrogant attitude which results in poor customer service on all fronts.
After leaving the event before 9pm due to the terrible experience, I emailed the CEG to express my disatisfaction and NEVER RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE. They even had the audacity to leave me on their email list for the event this year. Needless to say, I will not be attending, and I would advise others to stay away as well.
