Earth Hour Tonight 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

People all over the world are encouraged to TURN OFF their lights for ONE hour – from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (in your local time zone) – whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town. On this day, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation.
One hour, America. Earth Hour. Turn out for Earth Hour!
Earth Hour has also received the backing of search engine giant, Google. From 12:00 AM on March 29, 2008 till the end of that day, Google tuned their homepage to a black background.
Earth Hour 2008 will include the following “partner cities” and some surrounding areas in the U.S.
