Red & Gingham

February 22, 2018

I hope you seized the opportunity to do something fabulous outside in the unusually warm 75 degree weather yesterday.  I sure did!  I finally opened the windows to let some fresh air in and tidied up a bit.  I spent the day outside shooting some photos for the blog and had lunch with a friend I hadn’t seen in a few months.  One of my resolutions for the year is to re-connect with old friends.

In typical New York style, we’re back to a dreary and rainy day after that warm weather and it’s back to coats for me.  Spring is rearing it’s gorgeous head here and there and I love it.  I am a sucker for prints, gingham prints that is. I rediscovered Nine West last year and snagged as few pairs of shoes from their website during one of their sales.  I snagged the gingham loafers for under $60, with a 15% discount (when you sign up for the newsletter).  It’s the perfect loafer to transition from fall to spring.  All black is my state of mind these days.

I finally pulled the trigger on ordering the ASOS Ridley high waist jeans.  They have a 2 for 1 bundle deal for a set of black and blue skinny jeans for $67.  They fit so well and I loved the size range, which goes from a 0 to size 26.  I snagged this drama sleeve coat from Eloquii a few months ago and I can’t stop wearing it.  It really does brighten up my day because it’s so vibrant.  The red is no longer available but they have it in both green (hello St. Patrick’s Day) and yellow. I’m still on my Black Panther high, which has been reflected in my clothing choices lately.  Seriously you should go see the movie.  It’s one of the best Marvel movies to date.  My sweater is by Louis Vuitton and is embellished with long black beads that remind me of T’Challa’s necklace.  Shop my looks at the bottom of the post, including this fab bag that looks way more expensive than it actually cost.
