What A Grown Man Should Be Wearing on St. Patrick’s Day

March 8, 2013

This morning David told you to grow-up this St. Patrick’s Day and wear something age appropriate to celebrate this Irish tradition.  In a nutshell, a grown man doesn’t need to be wearing a “Kiss Me I’m Irish” shirt to get festive.  You can dress appropriately in green and be able to step into any establishment.  So here are a few looks girls would flaunt over, beer goggles and all.

Heading to the Capital Club Annual Shamrock Soiree? Green chinos and a navy pullover is perfect.

You don’t have to wear green all over for St. Patrick’s Day boys! Add a pop of color and you’re set to go.  Love the combo of chambray and orange.  A bit University of Virginia, I know but whatevs!

You don’t need to go preppy for St. Patrick’s Day.  Slim fit denim with a plaid shirt is casual but add a few accessories like these Jimmy Choo sneakers and a Burberry trench and you’re all of a sudden a grown-up hipster. You’re welcome! Add some cool clear frames for bonus points.

If you’re stuck in the office and refuse to run home before getting into a festive mood, add a sports coat to green chinos and a gingham shirt for an office appropriate look.  This look can work for dinner and then dancing later on.  Just shed the sportscoat so you don’t get too sweaty with that aggressive dancing you’re bound to do on the dance floor.
