Tex Saverio Revealed As Designer of Katniss Everdeen Portrait Gown

Last week, the Capitol unveiled Katniss Everdeen’s official portrait for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  And as much as we all swooned over the gorgeous gown with confections of layers, we were all stumped as to who designed the gown.  Now turns out Katniss’ gown was not designed by Alexander McQueen but by Indonesian designer Tex Saverio, who has dressed Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian.  Described as having an Alexander McQueen aesthetic, Mr. Saverio modified the gown from his Spring 2013 bridal collection, with Swarovski crystals and tiered chiffon instead of feathers.
