For the spring/summer 2013 collection of New York based label DEIVIE, designer Christina Mannino was inspired by the Youthquake movement of the Sixties and Sienna Miller’s character Nikki in the movie Alfie. The aesthetic of the collection was very rock ‘n’ roll with whimsical and eclectic pieces fashionistas like Blake Lively, Zoe Kravitz and Alexa Chung would flock to.
From sequin chartreuse tea length dress to a silk shirt dress and sleeveless tops with gun motif embroidered on Peter Pan collars and sequin hot pants, pieces in the DEIVIE collection were swoon worthy. Choosing three colors, Orchid Smoke, Bright Chartreuse and Dream Blue, as the dominant palettes, the DEIVIE girl will look lavish whether dressed up or down. A favorite piece of mine was a sleeveless white dress with a sequin silver vest and a flouncy skirt. It was purely divine and would look out of this world on a leggy blond.
Everything in the DEIVIE spring/summer 2013 collection was on point, from the Barbarella inspired hair to the Twiggy-esque makeup, girls who dare to be individuals will love it. The hair and makeup professionals from Hair Room Service created a beauty look that when toned down, will be a hit come spring.
