You asked for it, and now you’ve got it. A snapshop of DC style bundled into a little package I’d like to dub “Glamazon Dash Cam” for the Gents and “Glam Style Cam” for the ladies. Living a preppy lifestyle takes true skill and Jim McKenry has it down to a science. Jim, who owns a clothing distribution company called The Bird Dog Group, attended the Capital Club of Washington’s 30th Anniversary party.
I spotted Jim, a former
Capital Club member, in the courtyard at City Tavern Club and had to take his photo. Jim’s pink and blue ensemble looked perfectly coordinated but festive for the occasion. I haven’t seen a lot of men pull off pastel pants, a sports coat and embroidered
Stubbs & Wooten loafers with such ease. He looked so dashing in the navy checked sports coat complete with a pocket square and a blue tie. Guys take note, you can pull off pastel as long as you keep other elements of your look in darker shades. Wearing pastel all over is a no-no. I rarely see men dress this way in Washington, the head-to-toe preppy look that looks effortless and individualistic. Jim’s personal style comes through in all the details incorporated in this outfit. I can’t wait to see what the gentlemen of Georgetown will be wearing this summer.
