Sebago, a leading manufacturer of authentic classic, casual and marine footwear, has announced it will release a second collection titled “Future Heritage” with collaborative partner Vane New York City. Following the success of the initial VANE for Sebago Line, the new collection delivers a combination of Sebago’s heritage and superior quality handsewn shoes with Vane’s innovative, fashion forward “downtown” aesthetic.
The ‘VANE for Sebago’ line will feature color and material updates of Sebago’s popular Lighthouse Boot, the classic Docksides® boat shoe, and the ankle-high Beacon boot as well as two new silhouettes. New fashion updates will include a range of tonal trend colors in black, blues, and grays; special fabrication like Cordura®, reflective gassine and canvas, as well as a special vintage Sebago tag. Each shoe will be co-branded with Sebago and VANE.
Highlights of the new collection include the Exo-Boot, which features an outer denier nylon Cordura® roll-down outer boot with an all-over black patent inner boot, white stitching, black laces and a white contrast sole. The Penny Boot is a combination of a traditional penny loafer/mid-cut boot in a sleek, black-on-black colorway. The Apollo is a classic Docksides® boat shoe made completely of a silver reflective 3M™ Gassine construction with a white outsole.
The new line, which includes eight unique styles for men, will be available at select premium retailers in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington DC, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Tokyo and Canada in April 2010. ‘VANE for Sebago’ will be carried in some of the most exclusive retailers starting in April 2010 including, The Atrium, Brooklyn Circus, Alife and Dave’s Quality Meats in New York City; Solemates and Akira in Chicago; Centre in Dallas, Commonwealth in DC; Next in Cleveland, Hot Rod in Los Angeles, Complex in Vancouver; and select Tokyo accounts Adam Et Rope, Edition, Tailgate, and The Sixth Man.
