In Breakfast at Tiffany's Holly Golightly says, "Personally, I think it would be tacky to wear diamonds before I'm 40." Personally I would love to wear diamonds but I can't afford $50,000 statement necklaces; which is why I love jewelry designer Alexis Bittar so much for bringing lucite to my attention years ago. This season, Prada brought back lucite with a vengeance.
From jewelry to sandals and sunglasses, Prada accessories were dripping in crystal clear lucite pieces mixed in with some colorful ones. I can't afford Prada so I am excited to see A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz come out with a lower priced collection of lucite jewelry. The pieces range in price from $150 to $225 and are the perfect accessory to transition from day to night.
