Last night’s Grammy Awards red carpet fashions was not as impressive as I would have liked it. Besides the usuals, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, most artists kept it safe in their red carpet ensembles. The nude color palette has been a trend that many celebs have adopted this spring. On the Grammy Awards red carpet, new artist Keri Hilson and megastar Beyonce Knowles were spotted in nude gowns, which really complimented their honey colored skintones.
Keri Hilson looked absolutely flawless in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana body-con gown with a mermaid bottom. Keeping her jewelry to a minimum with small earrings and a cocktail ring, the focal point of her ensemble was the jeweled waist of the dress. Her short coif and lavender eyes completed her look. Beyonce on the other hand chose a short sleeved deep plunge front Stephane Rolland gown with architectural embossing all over it. The body-con gown also had a mermaid bottom that showed off all the right assets. The gown was very beautiful to photograph but did not look good with all the embossing when seen up-close. Don’t get me wrong, I think Beyonce looked flawless but what was up with the glitter steaks in her hair? I am all for creativity but she should have just let the gown and earrings speak for themselves instead of going grade school on us with glitter in the hair.
