Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci took a stance for keeping French Muslim women protected today by showing two looks advocating religious freedom. I’m not sure if many of you have been following French politics but President Nicholas Sarkozy is trying to ban the wearing of burqas in France. In a move that I see as purely genius, Tisci used art to give a voice to protect women and their choice to keep clothed. Despite the opposition, Givenchy’s Haute Couture 09 really was a high light for me because the collection illustrated how beautiful religion can be. Kudos!!!
