Beyoncé and her mom Tina Knowles will be launching a new junior clothing line dubbed Sasha Fierce for Deréon just in time for back to school. The line, inspired by Beyoncé’s alter ego Sasha Fierce will consist of outerwear, sportswear, jewelry, shoes and eyewear. Tina Knowles hints at “a one-shoulder dress, black bodysuit, fake leather jacket with oversize collar, leggings and destructed jeans with mesh and lace details lining the ripped material” to be staples in this collection.
Women’s Wear Daily announced it this morning and unveiled a picture of some of the pieces in the Sasha Fierce for Dereon collection. I am not really impressed with anything in the pictures. Most of the stuff looks like early 2000s RocaWear. I was expecting Beyonce and Tina to stay on trend with some of the fabulous jackets and costumes Thierry Mugler designed for her concert tour. Where are the sharp shoulder jackets, the blinged out dresses, fierce boots etc? I hope the rest of the collection is better than the pictures they released.
