I had the opportunity to see the new documentary, The September Issue during the AFI Film Festival two weeks ago. The film by R.J Cutler chronicles the ups and downs of the making of the September issue of Vogue magazine. This groundbreaking work has received many accolades around the world and it’s not surprise that fashionistas everywhere are super excited to see this film.
For the first time, we get a behind the scenes look at what makes Vogue’s September issue the fashion bible. In one scene, a Vogue editor proclaims that the fashion calendar year begins with September and not January, which is so true.
After the September Issue travels the film festival circuit, it will hit theaters on August 28. For those itching to get a preview, see below.
