Alexander Wang’s Spring ’09 collection now at Saks Fifth Avenue

Alexander Wang’s star just keeps rising. The up and coming designer recently snagged the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in November 2008 for his reinvention of the “grunge girl.” Aside from being $200,000 richer, Wang’s spring ’09 collection is now available at Saks Fifth Avenue. His spring line is all about reinventing American sportswear and making everything effortless and versatile. Saks released the behind the scenes look of his spring collection for the department store and I am in love with every piece. My absolute favorite is the t-shirt dress that was inspired by a woman running into the ocean in an oversized tshirt and emerging from the water with the fabric clinging and twisting around the body.
