After a month in Ghana and St. Barths, I’m slowly easing my way back into events in NYC. I went to Brasserie Saint Marc last night for The Fizz Is Female reception honoring Tawnya Faulker of Le Grand Courtage. The brand is near and dear to me. They generously gave us French sparkling wine and rose for our wedding, including mini bottles for the welcome baskets for our guests.
The venue, a secret garden, was too fabulous not to turn up and out in something festive. After all, we’re celebrating bubbly while noshing on caviar and truffle burgers. I channeled my inner Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl in this maximalist ensemble. I wore my ASOS textured mesh dress, which now comes in a ton of colors and different silhouettes. It’s the dress I wore for our city hall wedding back in January. I restyled for the Summer Water boat party this summer when it was still cool out. The color I’m wearing is sold out but they have other gorgeous colors to choose from. Sizing note: size down at least one size. If you have smaller arms, you can even go down two sizes.
I styled it last night with my new favorite platform pump from Schutz. It’s a dupe of the Valentino Tan-go pumps I’ve been obsessed with since last year. I am trying this style out this season and if I love it enough, I’ll splurge on the real thing. I accessorized with a bejeweled headband from my friend Blair Eadie’s collaboration with Lele Sadoughi this summer. My earrings are by Mestiza. This outfit would be so fab for the upcoming holiday season don’t you think?
