She invited yours truly to celebrate the launch of the Girl with Curves x Lane Bryant Collection in SoHo with a sip and shop. I got the chance to meet so many inspiring women I’ve only met on Instagram but never in real life. These stylish women with curves and empowering messages of self-love and body acceptance were all there to support and uplift our fellow sister on her special day.
Tanesha needs no intro though because you’ve seen her featured in many national campaigns, as well as some of your favorite fashion mags and blogs. Her 20-piece for Lane Bryant features a beautiful collection of romantic dresses in flattering silhouettes to flatter curvy girls, versatile dresses that turn into coats and everyday basics like skinny jeans and sweaters to fit every lifestyle. Her much-lauded collection doesn’t even need the press because it’s almost sold out.
She was gracious enough to send me two pieces from her collection, which I wore to the event. I styled it with these menswear socks and white pumps. Don’t judge me, I know it’s after Labor Day. I’m sure Lane Bryant will restock some of the sold-out pieces, especially this navy pleated coat dress, which I bought yesterday. I also want this lace dress and the mixed print dress, a beautiful take on the leopard trend that’s so hot this fall.
