Launching this September is L’Acquarossa, a new women’s fragrance from Fendi. Developed by Delphine Lebeau, Benoit Lapouza and Francois Demachy, the new scent pays hommage to the Italian woman. Noting Rome and Italian femininity as two strong elements for the Fendi brand, the scent’s creators used these two elements for inspiration.
It features top notes of Sicilian mandarin, Calabrian bergamot and a prune accord, middle notes of red-and-gold lantana flowers, rose, orange blossoms and magnolia and base notes bring nuances of red cedar, musk and Indonesian patchouli.
Actress Chiara Mastroianni, daughter of Catherin Deneuve and Marcello Mastoianni, has been tapped as the face of the perfume for her strong ties to Rome. She was photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino for the print campaign.
L’Acquarossa is intended for the mature women. One who is self-confident, proud and sensual. The perfume is housed in a statement red bottle with a gold flacon embossed with the brand name. It will come in 50ml and 100ml bottles as well as a body lotion. Both products will be available September 2013.
