Though Issa London admitted to almost going bankrupt due to skyrocketed demand after Kate Middleton wore one of its creations for her engagement announcement to Prince William in 2010, the London-based brand has turned itself around after getting a bailout from Camilla Al Fayed, daughter of Princess Diana’s former lover Dodi Al Fayed. Today, the brand is flourishing and is making a huge splash in America with a collaboration with Banana Republic.
The African safari inspired Issa London x Banana Republic collection will feature 40-pieces that will include pleated, kimono and wrap style dresses in both solids and prints. Accessories will include gold nugget and cord necklaces, envelope clutches and scarves. The collection will range in price from $39 to $150 and will be available August 6 online and in 450 Banana Republic stores nationwide and 700 stores globally.
