Who is having the best year ever? Singer Beyoncé of course! After accomplishing so much in the first quarter of 2013, the chanteuse is adding yet another notch on her fully crowded belt. Anna Wintour has named her the honorary co-chair of this year’s Met Gala.
Themed “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” this year’s Costume Institute Gala will focus on the influence on punk on fashion and culture with past creations by designers like Vivienne Westwood, Malcolm McLaren, Thom Browne, Burberry, Christophe Decarnin (formerly at Balmain), John Galliano, Ann Demeulemeester, Dior, Nicolas Ghesquière (Balenciaga), Katherine Hamnett, Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garçons), Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel), Gianni Versace, Junya Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto.
Beyoncé‘s stylist Ty Hunter is going to have one tough job on his hands finding something befitting for the occasion. Will she pull something out of her Sasha Fierce phase? We certainly hope so!
