Nail polish companies release collection each season, just like clothing designers, and though most never stay on the shelves past that season, I end up with a bottle or two of my favorite colors in my collection. I know it’s spring but I can’t help but reflect back to the winter collections, specifically the gorgeous colors Essie gave us.

There were six shades but three of them stood out of the bunch to me.  Leading Lady, a deep dark red shade densely packed with red glitter flakes.  This was one of my go-to shades for nights out on the town because it was just so fun to wear.  The color is very opaque and requires just two coats for coverage.  I usually need two or three coats of my Seche Vite top coat to get megawatt sheen.

Aside from its name, Butler Please is a gorgeous bright cobalt blue that works for spring as well.  One coat of this polish is a bit sheer but two coats does the trick.  I usually brush on three coats for intense color.  It dries into a satin matte finish but I use my Seche Vite top coat to add a bit of shine.

Snap Happy is a bright orange toned red that also works well for spring.  As always, I love the formula, which looks scrumptious after two coats.  There was another color in the collection called She’s Pampered, another red color that I loved but not as much as Snap Happy.
