Youngblood Moulin Rouge Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad

September 18, 2012

Yougblood cosmetics has been on my radar for the past year since discovering it at Spa Week.  This fall, the brand introduces the Moulin Rouge Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad inspired by neutral looks seen on the fall runways.  Moulin Rouge comes in four autumnal colors with Parisian inspired names like Can Can, Revue, Cabarets, Red Light.   The compact also have a large mirror and a duel-ended eyeshadow applicator, making it perfect for applying on the go.  The shades are warm and compliment each other perfectly, whether used individually or layered.  I usually apply a combination of Can Can and Red Light with brown eyeliner and two coats of mascara for day and then layer all four for a nude smoky eye.

Can-Can is a medium caramel colored warm brown with shimmer. Gorgeous shade, nice pigmentation.

Revue is a pearly vanilla/white. Great as a highlight shade.

Red Light is a very slightly pearly and bright warm orange/red. Love the intense color of this one.

Cabarets is a very dark brown with tiny red shimmery bits. Not patchy, very deep and pretty, but you won’t really see the red shimmer on the eye much.

The Youngblood Moulin Rouge Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad makes me crave pumpkin and cinnamon.  The colors remind me of the burnt orange and red shades the falling leaves turn in the fall.  All I need after applying this is a venti pumpkin spice latte. The Moulin Rouge Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad is available at Youngblood for $43.
