While running in between shows during New York Fashion Week, I love grabbing the freebies being passed around to editors and passersby. I spotted the Juicy Couture promo team outside the tents passing out the label’s latest perfume for women, Viva La Juicy. I got a hold of one of the little samples because I had forgotten to spritz on my go-to scent, Ferragamo Signorina that morning. I spritzed the decadent perfume on not knowing how the formula would react with my skin. I had forgotten about the scent until one of the bloggers asked me what I was wearing that evening. Turns out my friends were just infatuated with the scent.
Viva La Juicy has top notes of wild berries and mandarin with honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine as middle notes. The drydown is warm, with amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and praline. I wasn’t expecting to love the scent when I read about it before trying it but I must say, it sure does agree with my skin chemistry. The eau de parfum in the 1.7oz bottle retails for $70 and comes in an adorable bottle with Juicy charms and neatly wrapped with a fuchsia bow.
